MenoCompass Privacy Policy

Effective August 30, 2026

MenoCompass is a private, offline-first symptom and treatment tracker. The app does not require an account and does not operate a server-side database.

Data stored by the app

Information you enter—including symptoms, medications, lab results, notes, profile details, questionnaire scores, and screening dates—is stored locally on your device. The developer does not receive or have access to this information.

Diagnostics and advertising attribution

The native app uses EAS Observe for app-performance diagnostics and AppsFlyer, the Meta App Events SDK, and the TikTok App Events SDK to measure app installs, launches, advertising attribution, retention, and visits to the subscription screen. These services may process app version, device model, operating-system version, coarse network information such as IP address, and anonymous installation or SDK identifiers. On iOS, MenoCompass requests permission through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt before enabling access to the advertising identifier. You may decline without losing any app or subscription feature.

MenoCompass does not send symptoms, medications, lab results, notes, profile answers, questionnaire scores, screening dates, clinician reports, or exported files to Expo, AppsFlyer, Meta, TikTok, RevenueCat, or the developer. It does not send names, email addresses, phone numbers, precise location, contacts, or free-text entries to analytics or advertising services. The app does not display third-party ads or sell personal data.

Subscriptions and RevenueCat

The native app requires an active monthly or annual subscription and does not provide a free tier or free trial. It uses RevenueCat to check subscription status, validate purchases, and restore purchases before app content is shown. RevenueCat receives App Store purchase history and an anonymous app user identifier for app functionality and subscription analytics. When advertising measurement is permitted, MenoCompass may also provide RevenueCat with AppsFlyer, Meta, and device attribution identifiers so RevenueCat can report subscription lifecycle events—such as starts, renewals, and cancellations—to those services without recording the same purchase twice. Apple processes App Store payments under Apple’s privacy policy.

Service providers

Limited diagnostic and attribution data is processed under the privacy terms of Expo, AppsFlyer, Meta, TikTok, and RevenueCat. The browser-based health tracker does not initialize the native AppsFlyer, Meta, TikTok, RevenueCat, or EAS Observe SDKs. The separate public App Store download page contains no health-entry fields and does not load advertising pixels; if you select its download button, your browser opens an AppsFlyer OneLink attribution URL before the App Store. AppsFlyer may receive ordinary request information such as IP address, browser details, the referring campaign parameters, and the fact that the link was selected. No symptom, medication, note, profile, or other health-entry data is included.

Exports

If you export a backup, CSV, PDF, or clinician report, you control where that file is stored or sent. Exported files may contain sensitive health information and are not encrypted by MenoCompass.

Resetting onboarding or deleting your data

From Profile under Account & data, Reset onboarding restarts setup without deleting your profile answers, health logs, treatments, labs, or reports. Delete app profile & data permanently erases the complete device-local copy after a separate confirmation. Removing the app or clearing its local storage also removes the local copy. Deletion cannot be undone unless you previously created a backup, and it does not cancel an Apple subscription.

Medical information

MenoCompass provides general education and self-tracking. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, prescribe, or replace care from a qualified clinician.
